Retail Showroom
Kenlow Showroom is a space dedicated to the display and demonstration of shade structures and awnings. It is 240m2 and has been fitted into an old bus depot building, constructed in the 1930s.
The concept was to include the industrial / raw feel of the original bus depot but balance the raw materials with contrasting luxury of finely finished timbers and cabinet work. The floor was covered in inexpensive concrete pavers to give the feeling of the outdoors. Large graphics were to cover the walls and enhance the feeling of shade.
Awarded a commendation for the “Innovative and creative use of lighting in architecture” at the 2014 West Australian Architecture Awards.
